Haunted Harvest

Summer has finally come to an end and our weather is starting to cool down, which means... FALL, my very favorite time of year, which also means Halloween is quickly approaching. As we try to do each year, my parents and I brought the kids to the Haunted Harvest Festival at the Springs Preserve. They dressed up in their costumes, Grammy equipped them with their new trick or treating bags, and we were on our way.

Once inside, we made our way to the haunted hay maze. Cooper wasn't scared of any of the decorations - Caedyn, on the other hand, had hilarious reactions, most of the time she'd cover her face, while peeking through her fingers, and say "oooooh scareeey!".

Once through the maze, we hit as many trick-or-treat stations as possible - when it comes to candy, our kids can never get enough! Each candy station had a different "theme", whether it be witches, zombies, mummies, pirates, or spiders, the kids didn't flinch when sweet treats were involved.

Once 8 o'clock rolled around, we lined up to hop aboard the haunted train ride, where they told scary stories while we rode along down the spooky trail.

After our frightful ride, we made our way through all of the carnival rides. Cooper tried each game at least twice, and got a prize every time.

Caedyn even got in on the game action, her favorite was "Conk the Crow" - she kept said "me fro, me fro!".

Before calling it a night, I had to get a picture of the kids together.

What a great night! Now we're looking forward to our visit to the pumpkin patch with Daddy!
