This year we decided to bring the kids to a REAL pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkins, so Gilcrease Orchard was on our Halloween "To-Do" List. Saturday morning we packed up the kids and wagon, and drove to the other side of town to pick some pumpkins.
Once inside, we followed the "Pumpkin" signs to the giant patch to choose our soon-to-be jack-o-lanterns - both kids hopped out of the wagon to make their pick.
Once final decisions were made and our wagon was loaded up, the kids took turns pulling the 70 pounds of pumpkins we chose, with help from Daddy of course.
Along the way, Cooper spotted this "baby rainbow pumpkin" and HAD to have it, how could I say no to this face?
They had some fun activities for the kids to do while wandering the Orchard - after running through the hay maze, Cooper jumped right up behind the tractor & pumpkin, while Caedyn was hardly able to peek thru!
After paying for our pumpkins, fresh apple cider, and garlic, we stopped by the donut tent to grab a quick snack before heading out - they were making homemade apple cider donuts with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, and they were ahhh-mazing!
That afternoon, Josh had another appointment with Crystal to get his cover-up tattoo touched up - Caedyn didn't want to leave his side and kept saying "Trysto (Crystal) paint Daddy arm!"
Josh has several more sessions before his arm will be finished, I may have to sneak in to visit Crystal on my own so I can finally get mine!
What a busy Saturday - now time for us to carve our pumpkins... :)
