Saturday morning my in-laws came to came to town to drop off Sarah to spend the weekend with us, and decided to stay and spend the day with us also. We ate a big lunch then packed the kids to the nearest park, Hidden Falls - we LOVE this park, it's super close and has great activities for the little ones. Caedyn kept herself busy on the splash pad while Cooper and Uncle Sam ran around the whole park and would only make it back to the water to cool themselves off.
After they all had their fill of water, we spent quite a while at the swings. Of course neither could be pushed too high or for too long.
The ice cream man stopped by, as he does almost every time we're there, and I unusually had some cash on me so the kids lucked out. Cooper chose none other than Spider-Man and Caedyn ate off of her own & everyone else's.
Sunday was a very relaxing day - after breakfast with Poppi we did a little shopping then went back to our house to play in the backyard. Sarah and I set up the pool/slide combo that the kids got for Easter and we let them have at it, they only stopped for a snack then hopped right back in.
On Memorial Day Josh was working again, so along with Sarah, the kids and I went to the Planet Hollywood pool to spend the last of our 3 day weekend in the sun. Angelique got us a cabana, so Dina & Theo, and Amanda & Eli joined too. We swam, played, and ate the day away. Cooper found some friends to play with in the pool, while Caedyn hung by our side. By the time we left, after the long journey back to the car (hahahahaha) we had some exhausted kids, they both CRASHED on the way home!
What a great way to end such a fun weekend! Now it's time to give a special shout out to our service men & women for protecting our freedoms day in and day out, so my family, and all American families, can enjoy weekends such as these - Happy Memorial Day Weekend ya'll.
