One evening, when Josh finally had a day off of work, we took the kids to Veteran's Memorial Park ponds to catch some catfish! Cooper LOVES fishing with his Dad, and we hadn't been in quite a while, so we were over due.
Caedyn isn't much into fishing, but she definitely was excited to eat all the snacks we brought & play with the ducks, tackle box, and net!
Luckily, the weather was perfect so we didn't mind sitting around waiting for a bite. My parents met us out there and took the kids for a walk around the ponds looking for turtles - Caedyn even came back from the walk saying "tu-tull" and so proud of herself too! We had several bites, but only landed one. The kids were excited to watch Josh reel it in, and even more excited to put him in the cooler.
We stayed pretty late and the kids were exhausted by the time we packed up the car. Josh & Cooper are already counting down the days until they're able to go fishing again - I think Caedyn and I may skip the next one to go shopping, thank goodness we had our girl ;)
