With the 4th of July being on Monday, Josh had a long weekend off work, so we kicked it off at the pool with friends.
Of course we couldn't get a normal picture without a silly one too...
That evening, the weather cooled down quite a bit, so we took the kids for a ride around the block - It's so fun how much more we're able to do now that they're getting older.
After church on Sunday, we headed out to the Westin at Lake Las Vegas to spend our day at the pool.
After baking all day in the sun, we went home & showered before heading back to Lake Las Vegas to watch their firework show.
As tradition holds, we made our way out to Boulder City on Monday morning for their annual Independence Day parade.
First up, the kids broke into the confetti eggs...
Next was the silly string...
Which eventually led to a water fight...
And by the end of it all, the kids were covered in confetti, silly string, and soaking wet!
Once the parade was over, I brought the kids to the "Dunk Tank", which was actually a bucket of water that dumped on whoever was in the hot seat.
As you can tell, Caedyn was less than a fan...
So after her first bucket, Cooper took over...
After getting soaked, it was time for Sno-Cones and cotton candy.
Of course I couldn't end the day without getting a family picture in... or three ;)
Needless to say, Caedyn enjoyed her ride back to the car...
We spent the rest of the day at my parents house, swimming, BBQing, and lighting off fireworks.
Once the sun started setting, we made our way to the Mission Hills Park to watch the fireworks show. Cooper kept saying "Wow, these are incredible!" and they were!
It was the perfect way to end our crazy, fun weekend - Happy Birthday, America!
