We kicked off Halloween week by carving the pumpkins we got from Gilcrease Orchard. Caedyn dug right in, while Cooper didn't like getting his hands all "slime-y" - he waited until Josh got all the goop out before playing with it.
Each kid picked out their pumpkin face, and with help from me & Josh, Cooper got a silly pumpkin & Caedyn a ghost.
Once all four pumpkins were finished, we lit them up and admired our artwork.
On Wednesday, Cooper had his Halloween party at school - I got a sitter for Caedyn so I was able to join in the fun. Each kid dressed up in their costume & they played Halloween themed games before sitting down to their "sweet treat picnic".
Halloween was finally upon us - we spent the day with Grammy & Pops.
That evening, when Josh got home from work, the kids got trick or treat ready in their costumes - Caedyn was our drunken pirate (ha!) and Cooper chose Ironman.
We met up at Nancy & Lance's, and the kids took off on their way to get candy. We had quite the crew, Marilyn Monroe, a big bad wolf, a scary clown, a dead Prom Queen, an In N Out worker & a mummy.
Caedyn absolutely loved going house to house to ask for candy - she walked up to each door and said "twick tweet, me pick", once she got her treat she'd say "tank you!". At the scarily decorated houses, Caedyn would say "ooooh scawey, dey get me" - it made me giggle each time! DeVille & Riley were particularly helpful with her - they each helped her walk up to the door to get her candy.
Cooper stayed close by Elle & DeVille, they literally ran from door to door to ensure they got the most candy possible!
My parents joined in on the fun which made it easier to keep track of all the wild kids.
By the time we made it around the whole neighborhood, our kids were worn out! We made our way back to the house with buckets full of sweet treats. And thats a wrap on another successful Halloween!
