The Fourth!

To celebrate the 4th of July this year, as we do every other year, we woke up early, dressed in our finest red, white, & blue, and headed to the Damboree parade in Boulder City.

We met several friends and all the kids ran wild - between silly string, confetti eggs, and water guns, they had their fair share of fun waiting for the "water zone" of the parade to start.

When the water started, the kids stayed occupied spraying the parade floats and getting soaked.

Once one kid showed up with a sno-cone, everyone had to have one. I walked the kids to the ice cream truck and they each made their pick.

After most of the people cleared out, we made the trek back to the truck. Caedyn has started running, and LOVES chasing anyone who is running from her, and giggles the whole time!

We had to pick up last minute things before going to Bobby & Krissy's for the afternoon. The kids went crazy with the water balloons, and when they were all popped, they got Rick to fill up the rest.

Caedyn hung with Gage most of the day, obsessed with the "baby" even though he is much bigger than she is, while Cooper kept himself busy with the girls.

Once the sun went down, it was fireworks time! Everyone brought a box of their own, so we had a lot of fireworks to watch. I only got one picture of Cooper before he got in the air conditioned truck with the rest of the kids to watch the show.

Caedyn weathered the heat with the rest of us, and was rewarded with sparklers! She was amazed and kept saying "ooooh!", it was adorable.

We had an awesome Independence Day - fun, friends, fireworks, & food, can't ask for any more than that! Happy Birthday America!
