Pool Days.

Josh has had a few week days off in the past few weeks, so we've made the days count. We live very close to the Black Mountain Aquatic Complex, and being in the water is the best way to beat this miserable humid heat, so we've made a few trips to the pool to cool down. Cooper is perfecting his swimming skills, I am amazed that he's already swimming completely on his own, while Caedyn would rather be adventurous in the shallow water. We bring snacks along, or buy them, and the kids enjoy themselves.

Our latest trip was yesterday - we sat down & ate some snacks before cooling off in the pool. Dina & Theo met us to enjoy the sunshine, too.

Cooper is adventurous enough to go in the pool without his floaties, as long as he can touch, or someone is within arms reach at all times. I can't even begin to explain how proud I am of him for pushing himself more & more each time he gets in the water.

Now that Caedyn has familiarized herself with the kiddie pool, she has become quite the little daredevil - she loves blowing bubbles under water and playing with the crazy water hoses!

On our first trip to the pool this summer, we had Caedyn try the water slide & she didn't like it one bit, but once she saw Cooper continuously going up the stairs and down the slide, she gave it another shot and fell in love - now it's hard to keep the two of them OFF the slide, the second Caedyn climbs out the end, she's already saying "more please".

We hung out in the shallows and got some sun before packing it up and heading home. Both of our kids get such a beautiful tan in the summer time, I'm so thankful they got that from their Daddy because we all know I'm a white girl! I'm excited for the kids to get a little bigger so we can bring them to a bigger water park, but neither is quite tall enough to do much to justify the cost, hopefully next year!

I'm sure we'll have plenty more fun at the pool before the summers end, maybe in that time Cooper will grow 2 more inches to ride the big slide, he's already dying to try! Until next time ;)
