Easter Week

We had a very busy Easter week, but couldn't have asked for anything better.

To kick off the week, I went with some of my closest gals to Bare Pool industry opening day. It was so nice to have some "adult time" which is hard to come by these days!

For kids that are in school, this week was also Spring Break which means, no school - we visited the Madrid's to have some fun in the sun on one of their days free of commitments, and the kids ran wild. Cooper is always telling me "Tanner is one of my favorite friends, Mom. He likes to play with me." It's the sweetest thing!

To start off the weekend, we took a trip to Bass Pro Shops to visit the Easter Bunny on Friday afternoon - Angelique, Lilyan, & Jerome joined us. All 3 kids did a great job, Cooper was SUPER excited when the Easter Bunny first waved at him and couldn't wait for his turn to meet him!

Saturday morning, we grabbed our suits & went to celebrate Riley's 7th birthday at her pool party. Cooper hung with the big kids while Caedyn stayed close to the food, as always.

Saturday afternoon was Kensey's 1st birthday, I can't believe she's already a year old! The Blitz's joined in the fun too, and the girls were too funny together.

Kensey had the CUTEST cake, and loved eating it too - she dug right in!

Of course our kids loved the cupcakes too, especially the icing - I think we were all covered in pink after Caedyn was done with hers!

And we found out that our sweet little angel baby loves to kiss boys. Eeeeeekkk! She cornered him and kissed his face, I guess it's already time to start teaching her how to be a lady!

After the party, while the kids napped, we drove to St. George to spend Easter Sunday with the "other" Craig's. When we got to their house, the kids woke up & had to burn some energy before bed time, so they ran the house like they owned it, as usual. Cooper is now obsessed with Captain America & Optimus Prime (depending on the day), and as he says it "Spidey is out, the Captain (or Optimus) is in." so he spent all evening pretending to be his new favorite super hero. Meanwhile, Caedyn is mastering the art of climbing - chairs, tables, couches, you name it, and she's always so proud of herself once she accomplishes her goal, she really is something else.

Easter morning we woke up, got ready, and headed for church - Sarah was giving her Mission Speech and we couldn't miss it. She did a great job, and so did the kids, I was very proud. When we got back to the house, we finally got around to coloring Easter eggs and left them on the back patio for the Easter Bunny to hide.

Soon after, we noticed the eggs had gone missing, so it was time to start our search. We rushed outside & saw some Easter baskets filled with goodies, Cooper couldn't have been more excited that the Easter Bunny brought him a Captain America shield & a Transformers cup! Along with her basket, the Easter Bunny brought Caedyn a bubble machine and she was enthralled, we went thru the whole bottle of bubbles in 10 minutes and she never once lost interest!

Coop did a great job looking for eggs, while Caedyn needed a bit of encouragement - if she found a plastic egg, she would break it open & eat all of the candy out before looking for the next one, but if she found a "real life" egg, as Cooper calls them, she would throw it on the ground and continue looking until she found another candy filled egg.

After our hunt was over, we sat down to another amazing dinner made by Theresa, she is quite the chef! We couldn't have asked for a better way to spend this special holiday. We are so blessed with an amazing group of family and friends that infinitely fill our world with lots of love & happiness - I hope everyone had as special of a day as we did. Happy Easter!
