Last week the kids and I took a trip to visit Papa Dave at the fire station - although he lives in St. George, he still works here in town & commutes, so it wasn't too far of a drive. Cooper knows the drill by now, as soon as we got there the kids both got a treat before heading out to the barn to play on the engine & ambulance. Caedyn loves to "drive" the engine, but rides shotgun when brother decides to jump up.
While we were there the rescue got a call and Dave had to take off - Cooper waved as he turned on the lights & sirens and left. We hung around the station until he got back, which wasn't too terribly long.
Once he was back, he unrolled the spare fire hose and let Cooper give it a go - this was a first during all of our fire station visits, and by far Coop's favorite. Caedyn even got a chance to spray, not near the same pressure & assisted of course.
After leaving the station, I promised the kids we would go to the park since the weather was so beautiful. They love to go down the slides together, it makes me nervous sometimes, but as long as they're having fun & being safe, what can I say?
