Our littlest peanut is now 15 months! I think the time has flown even faster with her than it did with Cooper. She has really started developing a personality, she's very silly & loves to make people laugh, but also very shy around people she doesn't know. She's also started FLIRTING - I didn't realize girls started this young, oh boy, do we have our work cut out for us. She absolutely LOVES bath time with her big brother, I'm thinking she's going to be a water baby just like he was.
Caedyn has really started asserting herself & demanding what she wants. She's constantly telling Cooper to "shhhhhh", luckily she hasn't learned the "NO" word yet, although she has started the head shake. She'll yell when she's frustrated or angry, to make sure everyone around her knows her wants also.
She's been walking for several months and is now working on her run, it's more of a gallop then a fall, but at least she's trying. She's strictly table fed now, only eating what we eat - I'm so thankful I don't have to worry about baby food anymore! She loves her green drinks in the mornings, too - I make smoothies with fruits & veggies as often as possible to make sure the kids get plenty of good nutrients.
She loves Cooper's old bouncy horse - She'll sit on it for quite some time while working out her chubby little legs & giggles the whole time, it's adorable. She really is a very happy baby!
She's rapidly building her vocabulary also. She understands everything we say, just isn't able to verbalize it all yet. She says a handful of words herself, although not extremely articulate, she manages to get her point across. Right now her vocabulary consists of:
- Momma - currently her favorite word
- Dad - although she has recently started calling him "Josh" & says it oddly clear
- Bubber - when referring to or calling for Cooper
- Papa - no Gramma or Grammy yet, even tho they're her favorites!
- Hi
- Buh-bye - she waits until the person is gone before saying it
- Juice
- Cheese
- Bite - when she wants to eat someone else's food
- Shoes - her second favorite word, she kisses every pair she sees!
- Ooof oof - anytime she sees a dog
- Baby - when she sees a baby she points & says so, I really don't think she considers herself one anymore
- Bibee - for binkie
- Eyes - as she pokes her own
- Peas - when she really wants something, meaning "please"
Her favorite place to be is in the car with her sunglasses on & window down, its hysterical!
She has finally discovered the slide & goes down all by herself. She giggles the whole way down and expects to go down over & over.
Once she's had her fun on the slide, the swing is the next best thing.
No matter what the reason, she loves to be outside & playing.
Last weekend we took a trip out to the Boulder City corrals to watch the High School rodeo & the kids got to go on a few rides. They both loved it, as usual.
She loves to play with her friends. I'm lucky to have lots of friends with kids to familiarize her with other kids that are close to her own age. She tends to be bossy at times, which I'm sure comes with the fact that she's a girl, which brings on a whole new set of challenges!
One of her favorite pastimes is dancing - she'll dance to anything, music from her toys or on the radio, it doesn't matter. She loves to clap & thinks she's a master snapper and loves to bounce her little booty. Of course Cooper usually joins in on the dance parties.
I can't imagine our family without our beautiful angel Caedyn Lillie - I'm thankful for both of our babies each and every day, even tho some days are much tougher than others, I wouldn't change them for the world. I'm sure the next few months will bring many more laughs & tears, but bring it on!
