Springing Forward

Phewwwww, I have fallen behind again, so let's make this short & sweet... kind of...

Josh & I got a parents night out and spent the day (and night) at the Party For A Cause Concert - it was a blast! We got to see so many of our favorite artists & friends!

Later that week, Gabby & I brought the kids to the Clark County Fair, while Josh was working. Of course, you can't get to the fair without walking (and participating) in the carnival first. The kids each got their own tokens & chose which activity they wanted to participate in.

After checking out the 4H animals, we watched the dog show & mutton bustin' - Caedyn swears she's going to ride a sheep next year "when I'm 4, cause I'm a big girl!"

For Gabby's birthday, we did our tri-annual birthday celebration downtown at a F. Pigalle (REALLY cool fondue experience - plus they serve their wine in baby bottles!) before ending our night at Herbs & Rye.

To end April, we took a weekend trip to Cedar City to watch Erin graduate from SUU. Laura rented a GIANT cabin in the woods complete with game room & all to keep everyone occupied - it couldn't have been more perfect for the cold, rainy & dreary weekend we had. First thing we did, jump in the hot tub (you can see the steam rising from the water!)

After the ceremony, it was time for relaxation and Josh took full advantage...

The rain finally let up on Sunday, so we went exploring before heading home.

For Mother's Day, Caedyn's preschool put on a Mom's & Muffins morning to celebrate all of us Mommas - I'm so grateful that we found such a great program for our princess!

To kick off Mother's Day weekend, we joined some friends at the South Pointe to watch the rodeo - my Momma even joined in!

We started our Mother's Day at Central Christian - it was such a great message, I even got flowers from my babies!

That afternoon, we wandered around Spring Jamboree in Boulder City finding treasures and eating ice cream! For dinner, Josh smoked a killer pork tenderloin - I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Any & all of our free time is occupied with the kids' activities - Cooper keeps us running between school, baseball & BMX, while Caedyn has her school, dance & BMX. I'm looking forward to summer so we'll have a bit of a break!

All of his practice finally paid off and Cooper got his very first 1ST PLACE trophy!

Then to add to our already crazy schedules, both kids had swim lessons for the past 2 weeks... I've been one BUSY momma!

With summer quickly approaching, the temperature has started to heat up! We had Dina & the babies over to catch up & play on our slide - Ellis gives me baby fever, BAD!

With work being slow, Josh was able to volunteer at the Helldorado Rodeo, which scored us free tickets all weekend for both the Helldorado Rodeo & PBR Last Man Standing!

On Friday, the kids and I watched the rodeo, while Josh worked behind the chutes. Caedyn's favorite event is steer & team roping, while Cooper is enthralled with the bulls and "bunkin' broncs".

That evening, Josh joined us to watch the Last Man Standing competition - Cooper was in heaven, but Caedyn couldn't hang.

After the riding was done for the night, Cooper wanted to do some riding of his own...

Saturday was wiiiiindy, so the kids & I skipped the rodeo and stayed inside. That evening, the kids had a sleepover with Gram & Pops, so we got a night out! We couldn't have asked for better tickets either, VIP suite is definitely the way to go -  free beer, air-conditioning & great views didn't hurt either!!

After the show, we wandered the carnival grounds before ending up in the Cooper Tires Saloon listening to Justin McBride - we even got a chance to talk with him, Shorty Gorham, and Flint Rasmussen. Before the night was over, we were playing boot toss on the roof until the festival grounds shut down.

After church on Sunday, we picked up Riley and joined Christina & Kensey to watch the final day of the rodeo & carnival.

By the end of the weekend, we were exhausted! We spent the next week relaxing and prepping for the end of the school year!

The following weekend, Kensey had a sleepover at our house - the kids love having their friends over because it gives them someone else to play with!

And thats a wrap on our eventful Spring, bring on summertime!
