'Tis The Season

With the holidays soon approaching, it was time to put up our Christmas decorations - one of our kids' favorite traditions. We spent an evening dancing to Christmas music and putting up our tree - the ornament placement was up to the kids & I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome!

We spent part of our weekend at Auntie Amanda's Annual Kids Christmas Party, where the kids played, crafted ornaments, & made reindeer food.

That evening, the kids had a sleep over with Gram & Pops, while Josh & I went to the Blitz's Annual Ugly Christmas Party - Josh looked at my outfit and said "I don't want to look THAT bad", well thanks hon.

Last week, Cooper had a gift exchange at school, while Caedyn's preschool put on a Christmas performance of The Nutcracker. My grandparents are in town for the holiday, so they joined in on the fun. The big girls dressed up as sugar plum fairies, the boys as toy soliders, and the youngins as little mice, Caedyn chose the latter. The kids sang, danced, and giggled (some cried) their little hearts out for their audience, I was so impressed!

After their performance, Santa and one of his elves surprised the kids with a visit. Caedyn asked for "a real koala baby & a real baby doll" while Cooper stuck with something much more reasonable "an animal set, firetruck legos, & a remote control boat"- guess we have to wait and see what he decides to bring!

We spent our Sunday evening with friends at the Waits place, eating tacos and doings magic tricks - the kids favorite was when they made Santa appear simply by focusing, squeezing their eyes shut, and saying "Ho Ho Ho" over & over.

After all the kids got a turn to sit on Santa's lap to tell him their Christmas wishes, he dug into his sack and had a gift for each of them.

After a week of Santa fun, now it's time to prepare for his arrival on Christmas Eve. With more family arriving daily, we've got a long, busy, and FUN week ahead of us! I wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, may it be filled with lots of love & laughter! ♡
