Saturday was finally time for Caedyn's birthday bash - she chose the theme, a tea party, so I ran with it. I spent weeks prepping & gathering tea supplies to make sure all the details were absolutely perfect for our princess - even refinishing her sweets table to fit the color scheme.
Once the day rolled around, we cooked, plated, & set up for her party.
My favorite, the sweets table - the desserts were perfectly crafted by The Mad Batter Cafe & Bakery - the cake, cupcakes & macaroons couldn't have been more delicious or beautiful.

We set the table for tea, paying extra attention to each & every detail - including several different fruity herbal (non caffeinated, of course) teas, honey sticks, and sugar cubes to help decorate the table. Each guest got to chose their favorite tea cup & saucer set to use for the party and bring home as a favor afterwards. It wouldn't be a proper tea party without A Trace of Lace to keep the affair dainty, yet elegant.
The birthday girl woke up shortly after the guests started arriving - the kids ran wild & played all afternoon until it was time for cake.
After the kids burned off their energy, we sang to our big 3 year old - she didn't love the attention, got overwhelmed, and started crying while we sang on. If the old song "it's my party & I'll cry if I want to..." doesn't fit, than I don't know what does...
After cake, we served tea, mini cupcakes & macaroons - a true tea fare.
After a spot of tea & lots of sweets, it was time for Caedyn's favorite - presents! She had a present nook, including a beautiful chair to sit upon while opening her new goodies.
After getting everything she asked for (except a real live koala baby), and much, much more, we celebrated into the night.
We had one HAPPY birthday girl - 'Time For Tea, I AM 3!' was officially a HUGE success!
We want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate our princess turning another year older - we have so much love & appreciation for each and every one of you, we are very, truly blessed.
Also, a BIG THANKS to The Mad Batter Cafe & Bakery for coming through once again with beautiful and delicious desserts - you ROCK!
