Our Dancin' Queen

Since Caedyn is nearing 3, we decided it was time to involve her in some sort of 'activity' while Cooper is at school. I found an AWESOME dance studio, Studio One, offering an hour long combo class that fit in with our weekly routine. The first 20 minutes is tap, followed by a quick change of shoes for ballet, which is another 20 minutes, and finished with tumbling - just enough time to keep the girls focused before moving onto the next activity.

Her first class was the week we got back from Hawaii - I was blown away at how well she followed direction & paid attention to her instructor!

She takes an hour long class, once a week, and each time is just as excited to go. She's had some substitute teachers, but continues to perform to her best ability no matter who is instructing. Each teacher runs the class differently, and has the girls perform different tasks, which keeps the class very interesting to watch!

With each class, she continues to improve. She says her favorite part of class is "dancing in her loud shoes" - she would stomp around the house all day if I let her!

Her latest class was this morning - we drop Cooper off at school and grab breakfast before heading to the studio. She's always all business once we get there, puts on her shoes and heads straight into her room. I love having her involved in something that really captures her interest!

After changing into her ballet shoes, she was ready to dance again!

Only a month into her classes, Caedyn has already started to improve her balance & coordination. I'm so excited to watch her continue to grow - I can hardly wait to see how she improved this season! Thank you Studio One for being SO great with our little dancing queen!
