This past weekend, Angelique & I got the chance to plan our very first OFFICIAL 'A Trace of Lace' event, Cooper's 5th Birthday Party!
He chose to have a fishing themed party, so we expanded on his original idea and chose a "REEL Good Time'. I started with Jell-O 'Fish Bowls' & 'Dirt N Worms', and continued from there - we scrutenized each and every detail to make sure we brought his theme to life!
The first task, the dessert table...
We filled it with lots of delicious goodies, but wouldn't have been complete without the 'Bobber' cake pops & birthday cake made by The Mad Batter Cafe here in Henderson - the sweets were not only beautiful, but delectable too!
We also offered a drink station - Lake Water (Blue Kool-Aid) & Brackish Water (Sun Tea) which also followed with our theme perfectly!
The kids ran rampant, as usual, but rarely getting out of the pool except to eat.
Finally it was cake time! Cooper always gets so embarrassed when he's the center of everyones attention, but what are birthdays for??
After cake, it was time for PRESENTS! Cooper opened gifts for what seemed like hours (not really, but dang, he's spoiled!), ending with tons of cool gifts & $$$ to Bass Pro!
After presents, it was straight back to the pool - I swear these kids were fish in another life.
We had guests from all over - Grandma & Grandpa J, Uncle Michael, and Papa Dave & Grandma Theresa all made an appearance!
Of course Caedyn & Gage loved each others company, they are TOO sweet together.
By the end of the party, we were all exhausted, but Cooper was ready to go again!
We can definitely call this a 'REEL Good Time' a success! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, YOU made Cooper's party everything he had hoped for!
