This year, we decided to host Thanksgiving at our house. Josh got me my Christmas present early... and just in time for cooking... a new stove!
My grandparents had came in from Illinois and were already staying with us, so it made the most sense to have everyone gather at our place. We were also joined by my parents, brother, my long-time friend Holly, & in-laws.
The kids, along with the neighbor kids & Uncle Sam, ran wild until dinner time - of course Mom counts as one of the kids ;)
Josh went duck hunting a while back and decided to smoke one on Thanksgiving - Snickers helped of course, it's rare that he ever leaves his side.
As always, the boys were in charge of deep frying the turkey - the rest of us split up all of the traditional fix-ins: mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, & sweet potato casserole and it all turned out amazing!
After finishing stuffing ourselves, we relaxed while the guys, meaning Michael & Josh, cleaned up the kitchen (it really did happen!).
I'm so thankful for our families, we couldn't be any more lucky! Now to start meal planning for Christmas... ;)
