California New Year

Josh has been working in Los Angeles for the past month, but had New Years Day off, and instead of him fighting traffic into Vegas, the kids and I drove to spend the holiday with him in California. After loading up the truck, we took to the road. The drive was fairly clear of traffic, and kids quiet & occupied with their movies and snacks.

Once we got there, we headed to see Bubba, Josh's buddy, and he broke out his guitar & harmonica and enlisted Cooper to help serenade us the night thru.

We were in bed & asleep well before midnight rolled around, but were up early to hit the beach and play in the sand. We couldn't have asked for better weather, sunny & 75! Caedyn loved playing in the sand and walking the waterline, while Cooper got a bit more adventurous by being buried in the sand & climbing the rocks - I guess that's the difference between girls and boys!

Josh lucked out and was given the rest of the week off, so he drove back with us when it was time to head back. In the mad dash to pack up before the drive to California, I left our "bubbly" at home, so once we got back, we popped it open and enjoyed it with our dinner. Cooper loves to "cheers" so he got an adult glass like the rest of us.

Happy New Years friends - I hope this year brings lots of love, laughter, and happiness! :)
