Finally this year I figured Cooper was old enough to start the Elf on the Shelf tradition, so beginning of this month, we read the book and prepared for her to make her secret entrance. Caedyn is still too young to understand the concept, so maybe next year her elf will appear. Cooper got a girl elf, so he decided on the name Sprinkle. For those of you who have never heard of this, Sprinkle is one of Santa's helpers who watches the kids all day long & reports back to Santa each night on whether they've been naughty or nice - she'll reappear every morning in a new spot and it's the kids' job to find her new hiding place.
Cooper was very excited to start this new tradition, and each morning he's first up to find her new hiding space, and most days I needn't remind him that he must be nice, because Sprinkle is watching!
