The Great State of Illinois.

The guys arrived back in Joliet on Thursday afternoon after making quite the catch that week, 350 fish! Cooper helped Dad and Great Papa clean the boat before it went back into storage - He's quite the little helper!

On Friday Josh and I brought Cooper to Pilcher Park in Joliet to explore the trails and spend some time at the swings.

We spent Friday evening at my Uncle Jim & Aunt Debb's for a BBQ - My Dad and brother both joined in the festivities.

Swimming with Dad.

Running around the yard with Grandpa Gall.

Our dancing baby!

Saturday we spent the day at Uncle Brian's for the annual fish fry. It was quite chilly in the morning, but by the time afternoon rolled around we were sweating bullets!

Trying to ride the ducks.

My boys.

We joined Uncle Brian on the pontoon for a ride on the river. Cooper loves water!

Since Michael wouldn't be in town for his birthday on the 29th, we decided to surprise him with a cake at the fish fry.

Happy Birthday brother, you old man!

Sunday morning was the big day - We finally got Cooper baptized. We were lucky to be surrounded by lots of family on his big day.

Hanging with Great Gramma and Great Papa.

My beautiful family.

After we got back from the church, we had a big BBQ filled with family for Cooper at my Grandparents.

Cutting his cake.

The Eggemeyer side... & an angry Cooper.

So we decided to mimic him, waaaah!

After everyone cleared out and Cooper took a nap, the littlest ones decided to run around the backyard, eventually both naked!

We took a trip to the ice cream shop once every thing was cleaned up - I think Anna enjoyed it the most!

Climbing the flag pole!

Mmmm ice cream...

Cooper loves reading, so as often as possible I try reading to him before bed. Instead of reading him a book, Josh broke out the fishing magazine, and he enjoyed it just the same.

Daddy and Coop

On Memorial Day we took a trip up to Chicago to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo - We were blessed with great weather! Since Cooper loves animals of all kinds, he stayed occupied and enthralled all day long.

Going for a ride on Dad!

Can you spot the wolf?

Someone couldn't handle any more excitement!

Cooper and Grampy saying "cheese!"

Walking back to the car... Zonked!

After the Zoo, we took the short drive to Navy Pier and had a wonderful dinner at Bubba Gumps. Cooper was so worn out he stayed asleep from the car seat and back into his stroller! He finally awoke when it was time to eat... figures.

Tired boy.

On Tuesday we had tickets for the Cubs game with my Dad - Cooper and Josh's first trip to Wrigley Field!

Walking to the ball park.

A member of the Rickett's family, the family that owns the Cubs, was walking around handing baseballs to kids in the crowd, and Cooper sure got lucky!

He was so excited about his new ball!

Happy boy!

He's such a show off!

Doing the YMCA :)

After having an 11 day losing streak, the Cubs won their second game in a row. What a great feeling, being at Wrigley when the Cubs win :) After singing "GO CUBS GO!" Cooper couldn't even stay awake long enough to leave the field, he conked out in Josh's arms.

We had my little cousin, Anna, staying with us for the week - It was so nice how well Cooper and Anna got along and kept each other occupied, well most of the time ;)

In Papa's chair eating pops!

The day Josh headed back to work, we took a trip out to the farm my Papa helps out at and let the little ones climb all over the tractors. They had a blast!

Several times during our stay we took the short drive to my Uncle Brian's house on the river to go for a ride on the pontoon. Cooper loves all boats, and Anna, well she tried to enjoy herself.

Later that week I finally got to meet little Amelia, my cousin Angela's sweet daughter. She's a bit younger than Cooper, but they got along quite well. We spent the day at my Aunt Debb's pool and  enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Showing her what real work is ;)

Cooper is still obsessed with anything to do with the kitchen - whether it's baking, cooking, or washing the floor, he's all about it. We spent the afternoon baking cookies, and of course Cooper insisted on helping.

The following weekend we met my grandparents out at Hickory Hollow, their annual campout with their church. A short drive down the road is Starved Rock, so while Cooper napped with my Papa, we piled in my Uncle Steven's '55 Cadillac and took the trip to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Once Cooper woke up, we headed back to the campground to bring the little ones swimming. Cooper loves the water, especially when he's enjoying it with lots of other little ones!

Walking back from the pool.

The weather that week was quite warm for their region, to keep cool we spent most of our time in the pool or the shade. Sunday afternoon Angela and Amelia met us at my Aunt Debb's once again for a pool day with the kids.

Swimming with Amelia!

Little man finally swimming with floaties!

Later that evening while throwing together dinner at my Uncle Brian's, Cooper helped him mow the lawn.

Cooper & Uncle Brian

Over the past few weeks we have been making several trips out to Uncle Brian's to get everything ready for our upcoming family reunion. Cooper has become very fond of his dog, Max, but I can't quite say the same about Max.

Cooper taking Max for a ride.

To beat the heat wave last week, we set the sprinkler up with the hose and let Cooper loose - He played until his lips were blue. To warm up we wrapped him in a towel and put on his favorite movie, Dumbo.

Every morning when he woke up, Cooper helped Gramma water her plants. He's going to dread being back in Vegas where it's too hot to even leave the house!

Last weekend Cooper and I took a drive out to Morrison, IL, right on the Illinois Iowa border, to stay with my Uncle and his family for a few days. When he arrived on Thursday, we all piled into one car and took the short trip out to watch my cousin Katie take her horseback riding lesson. Anna and Cooper ran around the farm checking out all of the animals.

Momma & her 2 week old baby.

That weekend we took a short drive to LeClaire, IA to visit the Buffalo Bill museum. Cooper wasn't interested until he got to climb onto the retired "Lone Star" paddleboat and explore.

Cousins!

The Eggemeyers!

Me & my little handsome!

The following Sunday afternoon we loaded up the car once again and headed back to Joliet to get ready for Josh's return!
