Happy "Cotton" Anniversary

Two years ago on June 19th I married by very best friend - I'm so thankful for having him to share my life with. While in Illinois, we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Unlike last year, we decided to exchange gifts - He got me my beautiful new wedding ring set and I got him a fly fishing pole, fair right? ;) Since he was away at work on the actual day we celebrated as soon as I picked him up from the airport. We headed straight to Navy Pier on Lake Michigan. We stuffed ourselves at Harry Caray's then walked the pier. We were blessed with beautiful weather and good company.

After walking around and enjoying the sights for about an hour, we got in line for our Chicago architectural speedboat tour, The Seadog. After boarding and taking our seats, our captain and tour guide, Dan, showed us through the locks and into the Chicago river where we got an hour tour, including buildings and history, of Chicago. Dan was hilarious, I swear we laughed the entire ride.

On our way back onto Lake Michigan we went through the locks again, and this time we got to watch the water rise - it was awesome!

Once on the lake, they kicked up the speed on the boat and we got to enjoy the skyline of Chicago during the beautiful sunset.

We had such an amazing time. I am so blessed to be married to Josh. I look forward to many years ahead. I love you!
