Trip to Illinois!

The weekend before Mother's Day, Cooper and I joined Angelique and Gregory for an afternoon at the Springs Preserve Ice Cream Social. After lunch we let the boys run free and eat as many frozen treats as their little hearts desired.

Mmm Mmm.

The boys enjoying their cones.

Trying to share his ice cream with Dad.

The only flower I saw all afternoon!

Gregory meeting his new buddy.

Coop going for a ride.

Gregory & Cooper with Grammy.

During the week, Cooper kept himself semi-occupied while I packed like a mad woman to get ready for our trip. He's finally getting taller and has started climbing onto the furniture, he gets so proud of himself, it's adorable!

Eating grapes on the coffee table.

I needed a day off from laundry, so we met Gabby at Town Square to burn some energy and enjoy the beautiful weather. Cooper insisted on getting sunglasses, so we did just that.

Cool kid.

The next day, I dropped the little booger off to spend the morning with Danika so I could get my hair done, of course he loved playing with his little girl friend. The Madrids' sure are in for some trouble ;)

Eating with DJ.

At the end of the week, my Mom and I attended a painting and wine class, sans the wine for me, but it was tons of fun just the same!

With our masterpieces.

I had a very relaxing Mother's Day - The weather was perfect so we spent the day with my Mom in her pool.

Cooper riding Uncle Mike.

Swimming with Great Papa.

Tired Mama and baby after a day of sun.

Little man making Mother's Day dinner.

The following Monday, Cooper and I hit the road with my Papa to begin our drive to Illinois. I couldn't be more proud of the way Cooper travels - We brought lots of movies and kept the DVD player loaded the whole trip.

Day One

Day Two

Day Three

We finally arrived early Wednesday afternoon and sure were glad to be out of the car! We spent the next two days relaxing and preparing ourselves for Josh's arrival.

Going for a ride on Great Papa.

Riding around on his new favorite toy "Pony"

Cheesing for Dad.

Waiting for Josh at the airport.

On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at my Uncle Brian's enjoying the cool weather before the heat wave rolled in. Josh pushed Coop on the swing for what seemed like hours before we went for a pontoon ride on the river.

So happy to be with Daddy!

Driving with Great Uncle Bri.

Oooh look at the water!

Driving the "trah-tor"

On Sunday, Josh and Coop spent the morning together outside while they let me sleep in.

What a sweet child!

Monday morning all the guys packed up their things and headed up to Wisconsin for the annual white bass fishing trip. On Wednesday my parents finally made it to town and Cooper was so excited to see Grammy & Grampy again!

Waiting no so patiently for Grammy & Grampy.

Just relaxing.

Gram and I spent the week cleaning and making sure everything would be ready for the coming weekend. Man on man we sure kept ourselves busy, but it made the time fly until Josh came back from fishing!
