Clark County Fair

Last weekend, we spent Saturday in Logandale, NV at the annual Clark County Fair. Grammy, Pops, Uncle Michael, Auntie Gabby, Pete, & Grandma Robin all joined in.

First up, Caedyn insisted she "needed" a big pink bat, so Uncle Michael gave in and let the kids throw their fastest fastball!

Next up, as Cooper calls them, "jumping chords!" Caedyn was finally big enough to participate, so both kids stood in line & waited for their turn.

On our way to the mutton bustin' arena, Grams & Pops treated the kids to sno-cones, perfect for the warm Spring day. 

Once we got Cooper's registration finalized, he suited up and was excited to ride his first sheep.

Once all the contestants were ready, they lined up in the arena to say hello to their fans!

Caedyn was so interested in watching the kids ride and kept saying "me ride little tiny baby sheep too!" - she's not quite old enough to join in on the fun just yet. I'm always so shocked when kids chose to ride after seeing how fast those sheep come out of the chutes!

Once it was finally Coopers turn, he wasn't up for the challenge. After watching 10 crying kids come back out of the arena, he decided "the sheep were too big and he needs to wait until he's 6" (his words, not mine haha!) 

Even tho he didn't ride, they insisted on giving him his prize money anyways and he was pretty excited to spend it - always burning a hole in his pocket, obviously taking after his Dad. ;)

After the mutton bustin' excitement, it was time to check out the ribbon winners of the 4H. This is always one of Cooper's favorite exhibits, he is so interested in everything and anything to do with animals of all sorts.

We ran into this silly guy again this year and Caedyn couldn't get enough of him!

We let the kids burn some energy, while we relaxed in the grass and enjoyed our ice cream.

Of course we couldn't leave the fair without letting Cooper take a ride on the rip-line, he'd been looking forward to it all year!

Caedyn decided on the pony rides, but didn't like the idea as much once she realized I couldn't ride it with her.

Our last and final stop before heading into the rodeo grounds, was the pig races! We got to watch little Swifty swim and the rest of the pigs race for the oreo!

The sun set and made the temperature drop to be quite pleasant. We had GREAT seats for the rodeo - although we were packed in quite tightly, we enjoyed the show. 

Definitely a memorable trip to Logandale - I'm sure we'll be back to play again next year! :)
