The weekend before Thanksgiving Josh and I took our first swing at golf. We'd both been to the driving range before, yet never played an actual game on a course. Early Saturday morning we got up and headed out into the wind. After finishing 9 holes, we had enough, although we were both surprised how much we enjoyed ourselves - I can guarantee this wasn't our last golf outing.

Saturday evening my Grandparents got into town - After unpacking all their things, we relaxed on the couch while Cooper kept his Great Papa occupied.
Getting pushed around in his Tonka.
Sunday afternoon we had tickets to The Lion King at Mandalay Bay - Cooper stayed home with Grampy while the rest of us enjoyed the show.

After the show, my Uncle Brian and cousin, Brett, finally arrived after their drive from Southern Illinois. We spent the evening eating and catching up until it was time to hit the sack. Monday morning Cooper had his 15 month check up - He weighed 24 pounds, only falling in the 45% while his height is only in the 25%.
Climbing up the chair.
Reading his book.
After his well check, we sped over to my mom's work for her surprise 50th birthday bash - It was awesome, she had NO idea!

Silly Little Boy!
My Grandparents brought along a few things on their drive from Illinois, Cooper's rocking horse was one of them.
Riding his big boy horsey!
My little daredevil.
During their week stay, we had a lot of catching up to do. Cooper became Great Papa's best friend - It made my heart melt, I love my Grampa.

After days of preparation, the big day had finally arrived - Time for turkey! Josh and Michael were once again in charge of deep frying the bird, while the women cooked all the fix ins. We were lucky enough to be joined by some of our favorite friends and family for the afternoon - Josh's dad, Dave, and sister, Sarah, drove in from St. George to give thanks with us.

Loving his new blanket made by Grandma Theresa!
Seeing as it was Brett's first trip to Vegas since turning 21, we all made a trip down to the strip one evening to bring him gambling and get some fancy drinks.

The Saturday following Thanksgiving we had to say goodbye to all of our visitors - It was so bittersweet. I was thankful they were able to make it, but so sad to see them go, time flew!

This picture cracks me up! Cooper did not want to be held, but I wanted to make sure I got a picture of him with his Great Grandparents before their drive back home - This is the best I got.

Cooper is now tall enough to open the doors in our house - I find him sitting in the closet playing with our old vacuum ALL the time, he seems fascinated with it.

We spent Sunday evening at the Hohn's. Aubrey was running around the house with Vampire teeth in trying to scare me - She's such a little princess!

After thinking long and hard about where we want to be in a year from now, Josh and I made a big decision that rocked our world - He decided to take a job in North Dakota, and leave Cooper and I behind here in Vegas until we feel comfortable enough to move and meet him somewhere. He gets time off, but it just isn't the same. I miss him very much. Before he left, we spent as much time together as possible. After getting him completely ready, we took a trip up to Mt. Charleston to let Cooper and the dogs run around in the snow.
Our handsome boy!
Laughing at Dad.
When we saw the first patch of snow, we stopped to let Cooper investigate. We've brought him to snow before, but he was too young to remember.
"Hmmmm...?"
"What is this stuff?"
"Oohhh snow!"
"Time to taste it!"
Snickers enjoying himself.
Buster fetching a stick, whats new?
We journeyed up the path a bit further and let Cooper walk Snickers most of the way - Cooper really enjoyed that, Snickers not so much.
Walking his bud...
& giggling the whole time!

Josh left early in the morning on the 1st of December - We brought him to the airport and spent the morning waiting with him until he had to go thru security. Unfortunately he won't be home for Christmas, but we'll celebrate when he gets back.
Cooper at McCarran.
We've had a very busy month so far, so I'll update once again when Cooper decides to give me a chance. Until then ;)
