As soon as we got back from Illinois, we've been nonstop busy - I swear it's one thing right after another! I guess the saying is true - "No rest for the weary." On Monday, we went to Seth's kindergarten graduation - Congratulations Seth, you're growing up so fast!!
The Graduate!
On Friday we headed out to Boulder City with some friends for the "Best Dam BBQ" Competition - the food was delicious, of course! The kids played on the bounce house while we sat in the grass and enjoyed our grub.
Devi telling me "Rock On!"
On Saturday, my Dad and his wife, Val, finally got into town after their drive from Houston. They brought their dog, Wrigley, along for the trip - our dogs can't get enough of her! We had a BBQ at our house that night with lots of food and friends - it was a good time!

"I'm not touching yoooouuu!"
Our backyard is full of oleanders and they're in full bloom right now - although they're beautiful, they're poisonous to dogs, so out they're coming!

On Memorial Day we spent most of our time in the kitchen cooking up a storm - my Dad is the best cook EVER!
Grandpa & Cooper in their matching gear.
Cooper loves music, whenever a song comes on, he bounces along with it like he's dancing. His toys that play music or make lots of noise are his favorite.
The noisiest toy of all!
Man this kid can eat - It seems like it's never ending. He loves pretty much everything, besides peas, but I don't blame him on that one! His favorites this week are cantaloupe and blueberries - things he can feed himself. He's becoming so independent that, for the most part, he no longer likes being fed.
Eating his blueberries.
On Tuesday after lathering Cooper in loads of sunscreen, we headed out to Veterans Memorial Park to play in the water fountains. The weather was warm so the cold water kept us cool from the summer sun.

Me & my sweet, sweet boy!
Ooooh... Chilly!
Wednesday we spent the day being tourists - we went down to the strip and spent most of our time at the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. It amazes me how interested Cooper is at his surroundings - he loved watching the animals zoom around inside their tanks.
So captivated!
Komodo Dragon - check out those claws!
Taking a breath!
Tree Lizards.
Grandpa & Coop
An awesome looking plant.
He decided he was pictured out ;)
When we got to the Reef Tunnel, we found a friend. He even took his mouth piece out and smiled at Cooper - he giggled right back at him!

The Shark Reef was awesome - totally recommended!
Little did I know the park right down the street from my house, Mission Hills Park, ALSO has a water play area. On Thursday, Dad, Val, and I dragged Cooper to play once more.

I FINALLY got around to planting some tomato plants in my backyard, super late I know - I hope I at least get something out of them! We decided not to plant a full garden until we have our planter boxes built and the oleanders gone.
Digging my hole.
Getting help from Daddio.
The finished product.
This week Cooper also had his 9 month check up - I know can you believe it!? As it turns out, the monster isn't such a monster after all.
