We started our Halloween festivities several weeks back - our first stop was the Harvest Festival at Cooper's school. Between the haunted house, face painting, and carnival activities, we kept ourselves busy all evening.
On Saturday, we made a trip out to Gilcrease Orchard to pick our pumpkins - their fields had already been pretty picked over, but we managed to find plenty to fill our quota.
Since my birthday was soon approaching & Josh would be heading out of town for work, we celebrated that night. Josh brought me to dinner at Herbs & Rye before watching Ka by Cirque de Soleil - it was a perfect night!
Sunday it was finally time for the PBR! Cooper couldn't get enough, I don't think he took his eyes off of the chutes all afternoon, while Caedyn couldn't hang and passed out before they announced the World Champion!
At Cae's dance studio, it was "dress up" week, so she jumped at the opportunity to wear her Anna costume to show Ms. Helen!
Coop had Halloween activities at school, too - Wednesday was his "Pumpkin Discovery" & I was lucky to be able to join, where we weighed, measured, and dunked our pumpkins.
As the school week was coming to an end, both kids had costume parties at their prospective schools - I spent most of the morning with Caedyn helping the little ones with their Halloween activities, they were so fun & cute!
I slipped out for a while to watch Cooper's Kinder class flash mob to "Monster Mash" - I think I laughed the whole song through.
Halloween finally rolled around, which meant pumpkin carving! We all picked our design & carved our own pumpkins, with a little help of course!
After suiting up in their costumes, we were ready for some "trick or trick or treating", as Caedyn says.
The crew was ready as soon as the sun started setting.
After going around ONE BLOCK, we already had to empty their buckets - needless to say, they had a very successful Halloween!
That night, my mom stayed with the kids so Josh & I took full advantage of our time away. We spent most of our night at Christina & Livio's annual Halloween Bash as Al & Peggy Bundy, laughing until we couldn't breathe - I am so thankful to have a husband who can always make me laugh!
Until our next adventure ;)
