U.S.A.

We started our Fourth of July weekend off at the Black Mountain Pool with the Busch & Paul girls. Its our go-to spot in the summer when the heat sets in.

That evening, Josh & I brought the kids out to the ponds in Boulder City - Cooper had been bugging us all week to go catch some fish. Luckily he was the champion fisherman, catching the only catfish of the night.

Friday we finally caved and turned Caedyn's crib into a toddler bed - as you can see, she was thrilled! We are very pleasantly surprised how amazing she has been doing with the change!

That night was girls night! After dinner at Lillies, we barhopped downtown late into the night.

As tradition stands, we woke up early to catch the parade in Boulder City - the kids wouldn't have it any other way. Caedyn and Gage paled around most of the morning, while Cooper stuck close with Gavin & Riley.

While at the parade, we ran into the Madrid's - the kids all braved the parade & water fight together. Caedyn decided she didn't like being squirted in the face, so she stood back when the water started spraying, but Cooper and Riley got DRENCHED!

Of course, you can't do the parade without a visit to the ice cream truck!

The weather was so nice and temperature mild, so we decided to spend another hour at the park after the parade had ended before heading back to Henderson.

Cooper & Danika are both STILL shorties, so they enjoyed finally wrestling someone their own size - the pair spent the entire morning chasing & tackling each other!

That afternoon, the kids ran wild - most of their time spent between the slip & slide and the pool!

After BBQing, it was time for my favorite event, FIREWORKS! What can I say, I really enjoy setting things on fire!

During the show, Cae crashed and the kids took over the camera - can you tell? Ha!

By the end of the night, everyone was worn out from a fun day in the sun. Both kids slept on the way home, but woke up ready to go Sunday morning!

To round out our weekend, we took the kids bowling before BBQing with Grams & Pops. They both did a lot better than expected, with bumpers of course!

And that's a wrap on another eventful holiday weekend with our wild and rowdy crew ;)
