Our Summer Thus Far...

The past few months have been so hectic, I'm finally finding time between my house remodel to catch up. Back in June Dina had her baby shower for little baby Theo, who is now happy and healthy and over a week old. He's so super sweet, I can't wait for him to play with our little ones.

One week while Josh was working in Blythe, the kids and I went up to St. George to visit Papa Dave & Gramma Theresa, and of course Uncle Sam. We did lots of swimming, which both kids LOVED! We also took a walk down to the park with the splash pad and let the boys run wild.

I got to watch Gregory one week while Angelique worked, and the boys had a blast together. I kept them busy, between swimming, playing, eating, and bowling, they stayed quite occupied.

This June 19th, Josh and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. I'm so lucky to be married to my best friend, the love of my life, and my other half. I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. Josh, thank you for being you and giving me everything I've ever dreamed of - I couldn't ask for a better father to my children, a more loving & supportive husband, or a better person to marry. With all we have had going on, we settled on a night out - dinner & a movie. The first picture below is our wedding night, followed by our first & second anniversaries, then finally our third. Here's to many, many more.

Danika and Caedyn are two of the sweetest girls I know - and they love each other! I'm so excited for them to grow up and be great friends!

We made a trip to the fire station for Father's Day to visit Papa Dave. It was fun, as always.

Caedyn is really starting to come into her own. She giggles all the time and is getting quite the personality.

We've made several trips to the Hohn's to play. Cooper loves his cousins!

Since the hottest of summer has arrived, we've spent a lot of time swimming in the pool, and we love invite friends over to play, too. Cooper and Danika love each other, to the point of fighting like brother & sister - it's awesome! We've gone night swimming a few times too. Papa Dave gave Cooper a disco ball light for the water, so we're sure to bring that along!

A very good, old friend of mine, Holly, came into town for a visit, so we all met at Brio to catch up and for some good food. Cooper and Auntie Gabby spent the whole dinner being silly and taking pictures.

My grandparents came into town for a week to visit, so all of our free time was spent with them. The whole group of us went to see Despicable Me 2 at Town Square, and it was SO cute! Cooper loved it, and Caedyn slept the whole time - SCORE!

Since it was getting so hot outside, I brought Snickers into get shaved. He looked so silly afterwards, but it sure kept him cool outside during the big heat waves!

Cooper & I made a special trip to 7-11 on July 11th for our free slurpees. This kid loves anything sweet and frozen!

Cooper's new obsession... Spider-Man. At one point he told me "Mom I want to get bit by a spider because I don't want to dress up as Spider-Man, I want to BE Spider-Man" He's such a crackup! He eats, sleeps, & breathes Spider-Man.

We've done our best to stay busy and keep cool this summer. Cooper loves playing with his friends. We've made several park trips so he can run wild with the girls ;)

Caedyn has started pulling herself up onto things and crawling, so she's becoming very mobile. This had made bath time a challenge, trying to keep her seated while she wants to constantly move.

One morning the kids and I took a trip out to Boulder City to have a "day date." We had breakfast at Mel's then headed out to the corrals for Cooper to feed the cows and pet the chickens. I keep hoping he'll develop some kind of fear, but he remains fearless.

Seth's 8th birthday party was at Skate City, so Auntie Amanda brought a scooter for Coop and away he went with Josh, while Caedyn and I watched on.

That night we had a big birthday dinner for Josh at Claim Jumper to celebrate his 33rd birthday. We we're blessed to be joined by our closest friends and family.

On Josh's actual birthday he was working out of town, so the kids and I drove to Blythe to surprise him. We spent the afternoon by the river & the night at Uncle Shawn's trailer. I love my old man!

Caedyn is now regularly eating solids, and has started trying our dinners. She LOVES to eat, and would eat all day long if we let her. This is her new face... she thinks she's so funny and giggles. I'm so thankful for her beautiful personality.

Right up the street from our house they placed this bad boy. Beach Bums is our new sweet stop. When Cooper is very well behaved, or I have a sweet craving, to Beach Bums we go. Caedyn even got to have her first snow cone last week!

Last weekend we celebrated Danika's 3rd birthday, which means Cooper's is right around the corner. The kids ran and played hard all Saturday evening. Caedyn was so worn, she fell asleep in Daddy's arms!

Since Cooper has really become coordinated, we finally broke out his roller skates. He chose to wear his rain boots with them, such style he has. Man, I love this little boy!

On Wednesday, the kids and I went to Grammy & Poppi's to go swimming. Caedyn really enjoys the pool now. It looks like we have two water babies on our hands!

We took a trip to Bass Pro Shops yesterday, Caedyn is learning to love that store as much as her brother.

I also got to meet this sweet face, baby Theodore, he's such a little angel.

The kids are growing and learning WAY too fast, I want time to slooow down, or ready for another baby... not sure which one yet ;)
