Spring is definitely in full swing - flowers blooming and beautiful weather, so we intend to take full advantage of it. We take an evening walk as often as possible, whether Cooper walks, rides his trike, or his "big blue truck", we love wear him out. Caedyn loves walks in her stroller too, so much that it often puts her to sleep.
For Peyton's 7th birthday party, Pam sent us home with some new family members, Diego and Cutie. Cooper insisted on getting them a bigger tank and some toys to play with, so we did just that.
Caedyn is at the age where she LOVES to put everything in her mouth, whether it be toys or fingers, but mostly toes!
She continues to be such a happy baby, definitely a daddy's girl, and LOVES to watch her brother. I'm so thankful for her and her beautiful personality.
During "Spring Break" we spent some time with the Busch girls. Elle invited Cooper out to ride her pony, Oreo, and he jumped at the opportunity - he still loves him some horses ;)
Last week, Ciara and I brought the kids out to Lake Mead to ride the Desert Princess, a three-level, Mississippi-style paddle wheeler. The boat takes you from the marina to the Hoover Dam, and back. We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather or better behaved kids! After our ride, we let the kids feed the fish bread before heading back home.
After spending the day with Danika, who is completely potty trained, Cooper decided he only wanted to wear undies. He went all day without any accidents and FINALLY went #2 on the potty so we rewarded his good behavior with a trip to Town Square to ride the choo-choo train. He's now doing so well that he only wears a diaper at night.
Since Josh had the weekend off work, we drove up to Gunlock on Friday and spent the evening riding quads and fishing.
Saturday was Sarah's birthday dinner, so we relaxed at the Craig's all day before enjoying the delicious food Theresa made special for Sarah's big day.
After our early dinner, we drove back to Vegas. Caedyn and I went to a baby shower, while Josh and Cooper hung with the guys at Bobby's. Saturday night I got the rare opportunity to go out with my best friends ever, Gabby and Ang. While downtown we ran into this fella, Matthew Gray Gubler from Criminal Minds - I LOVE THAT SHOW!
The following Monday, Ciara and I brought the kids on the old Railroad Pass trail. It passes the lake and goes all the way to the Hoover Dam, then loops around back. It sure was a work out, pushing a stroller 7.5 miles on a dirt path, but the kids enjoyed it as much as we did.
Since Gabby got Sofie Josh hadn't had the chance to meet her yet, so we made a special trip over to her house for the introduction. Sof sure has grown bigger and stronger since we first picked her up, Cooper struggles now to carry her around!
Before Josh headed up to Salt Lake for work, we spent the afternoon at the park with our beautiful kids. I love watching Cooper meet new kids and learn to play with them, but there's nothing like seeing the love on your kids' faces when they look at each other.
Until next time ;)
